Some of the benefits of Advanced Endonasal Therapy?

1. Removes nasal obstruction and blockages.

2. Improves nasal discharge from the sinuses.

3. Reduces facial congestion and sensitivity.

4. Helps align a deviated septum to promote proper discharge.

5. Improves your senses of smell

6. Increases oxygen uptake by the brain (to enhance neurological functioning)

7. Increases Nitric Oxide uptake into the blood. (helps treat hypertension with natural vasodialation)

How does Advanced Endonasal Therapy compare to Balloon Sinuplasty ?

Balloon Sinuplasty is an invasive surgical procedure that requires general anesthesia to insert a balloon into the sinus drainage channel. It may also require the breaking of nasal bones to open the sinus passage. In comparison, AET is a natural approach that does not require anesthesia as the balloon is placed near the opening of the sinus drainage channel not in the channel. The inflation gently dilates the inflamed soft tissue near the opening of the sinus channel to release the pressure within the channel and facilitate drainage. An analogy would be a plastic suction cup on a window. The negative pressure within the tiny cup (sinus) is maintained so long as its sealed tightly. Lifting and pulling the edge of the suction allows the air to escape. Similarly, the movement of the soft tissue near the opening of the sinus channel releases the pressure within the channel, thus allowing the sinus to drain. The procedure only takes 20-30 minutes. Advanced Endonasal Therapy is much less invasive and the effects are broader (structural, neurological and physiological). It’s a truly a natural and alternative treatment for a chronic and debilitating condition

How does Advanced Endonasal Therapy treat Chronic Sinusitis?

Advanced Endonasal Therapy (AET) is a relatively new procedure whereby an endonasal balloon is inserted into the nasal cavity and inflated to release adhesions in the mucousal linings of the sinuses. This procedure is very safe and effective in the treatment of sinusitis. The adhesions in the mucous lining – the dura mater – of the nasal cavity and sinuses become inflammed due to irritants and allergens Over time, this causes a chronic build up of mucous and pus leading to nasal obstruction and poor sinus discharge. AET effectively works to release these chronic adhesions by manipulating the nasal soft tissue and gently mobilizing the cranial bones such as the sphenoid and vomer to alleviate the obstruction and restore healthy sinus function.
